The 1970 Buick GSX was one of those legendary muscle cars that will torn apart the tarmac underneath. Especially the ’70 Buick GSX Stage 1 because of his monstrous engine torque power. However this is a little bit different. Built by Custom Classics few years ago, and it represents a unique Restomod – Pro Touring concept, of the original GSX version.
It is unique, because you can’t find another Pro Touring ‘70 Buick GSX built at this level. Under his Saturn Yellow hood it is equipped with a Buick 430, bored to 501 cubic-inch big-block V8 engine, which produces 592 horsepower and 637 ft.-lb. of torque. The engine is bolted to GM TH400 3-Speed automatic transmission that spins 12-bolt Posi-Traction rear-end with 4:11 gears.
Underneath it is equipped with a Hotchkis suspension. The awesome Pro Touring look and stance comes from the custom Billet 17-inch wheels equipped with Nitto Extreme ZR tires. While braking performance are provided by powerful SSBC Force 10 Extreme calipers and vented rotors on all four corners.
