For every petrolhead these are the most satisfying videos. Today we have a 289 cu. small-block Ford engine that is pulled out from a totaled 1964 Ford Fairlane. Through the rebuild process, Davin from Hagerty will upgrade this engine from stock, to a Shelby GT350 grade powerplant.
This Ford’s 289 cubic-inch, 4.7-liter small-block Windsor V8 engine is factory rated at 195 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Now, with period-correct upgrades, including a new cam, Edelbrock F4B intake, carburetor, headers, and porting of the heads, this engine produces around 310 horsepower. Enjoy the video!
