Today we present you the greatest Pro Touring 1969 Dodge Charger RT ever. This project was done by Detroit Speed Inc, which is a little bit confusing, because we know them as a hardcore Chevy guys. Why this Charger is so special? Because not only the powerful engine under the hood, but attention to details, equipment that has been installed and the whole concept and design are beyond traditional boundaries of restomodding a muscle car.
This ’69 Charger has been fabricated in perfection, or we can say that is a modern factory production vehicle in a classic body. The interior is made of black leather and aluminum details. The center console is equipped with modern automatic climate control, powerful audio which are controlled by a LCD screen. The dashboard has all necessary gauges, featuring beautifully crafted steering wheel with paddle shifters.
But we assume that most of the Mopar guys are more interested what’s under the hood of this ’69 May/Hem Charger. It’s equipped with a Chryslers 426 cubic-inch Gen III Hemi V8 engine. This Hemi engine with a 4.0 liter Whipple supercharger is capable of producing 830 horsepower and 900 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hemi engine and the Bowler 4L80E automatic transmission are connected with the rear wheels via DSE 9-inch rearend with Moser axels.
