This 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC Z has been seriously upgraded, therefore, now he can compete against the best muscle cars ever produced. This makeover has been done by the Hawks Motorsports where they have put this IROC Z through serious tests and made this IROC Z a real racecar.
Hawks Motorsports has made only technical upgrades and a few interior changes. Therefore inside, now we can see Alcantara leather with new Classic Instruments gauges and new Z/28 sports bucket borrowed from 2015 Z/28 Camaro.
As we mention before the biggest changes are made under the hood, therefore now this 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z is powered by upgraded Z/28 427 cubic-inch, 7.0-liter LS7 small-block V8 engine, producing over 500 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Underneath it has front and rear Detroit Speed suspension connected with 18-inch Forgeline wheels wrapped with BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires. Hi-tech Carbon Ceramic 6-piston Brembo brakes also borrow from the modern Z/28.
