The New 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – What we know so far!
Dodge has officially announced their new Demon vehicle, but unlike their classic Dart Demon, this time the Challenger will carry this legendary nickname. On the internet, there are a lot of information’s and speculations about the upcoming Demon Challenger, which we can expect to be revealed at the New York auto show in April. So what can we expect in this 2018 Demon model.
First of all, let’s see what the changes are on the exterior. From the leaked photos the body remains the same, but it has a small facelift which represents the 2018 model. The black hood with large hood scoop remind of the ’70 Challenger T/A. The fenders get wider flares, which give a wide body look. Also, there will be a new 18-inch SRT wheels wrapped with wider tires to match the fender flares.
From the technical aspect, Dodge announce in their latest teaser that there will be weight reduction, which might be up to 200 pounds less. Also the engine might be working on two different fuels, racing and regular. The rumors say that this Challenger will be the ADR (American Drag Racer), which probably they are expecting to run 1/4 mile time in low 10 seconds, but also because of the wide tires will be suitable for track racing.
