One of the stars, and the best custom build classic American muscle car at this year Sema motor show, is this heavily modified 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe, better known as the “Corruptt Mustang”. Tony the builder and the owner of this super awesome classic Mustang explains the story behind this super cool built.
Inside out, this ’68 Mustang Coupe has been completely modified. The roof has been chopped for about 2.5 inches and also every body panel has been also modified. The interior have been fully customized as well. However the craziest thing at this Mustang is the engine under the hood.
It is powered by a Twin Turbo Ferrari 4.2 liter, 256 cubic-inch F136 V8 engine, borrowed from a Ferrari F430. With a pair of Nelson Racing mirror image turbochargers, this engine produces more than 700 horsepower. The engine is mated to a Tremec T56 6-speed transmission with sequential shifter. In addition, it is equipped with a RideTech suspension connected to Avant Garde F461 wheels wrapped with Toyo tires.
