What we are seeing today, probably is the most iconic 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle restomod build. It’s called “Slammer” and when you look closely, you will realize that this Chevy truly is awesome looking slammed classic muscle car with amazing attention to details. It was revealed at the 2016 SEMA Auto Show, and immediately become the main attraction.
Because is built by the Chevrolet Performance, this ‘69 Chevelle Slammer Concept is equipped with the latest Chevy equipment. But not only the Driveline, the body has been modernized as well and painted in Dazzling Black Metallic color. The interior also has been modernized with Gen-6 Camaro seats and complete Adrenaline Red leather upholstery.
But as always the most interesting is the engine compartment. Chevrolet Performance has equipped this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle with the GM’s Gen-V 376 cubic-inch, 6.2 liter small-block LT376/535 Crate V8 engine, producing 535 horsepower and 470 lb. -ft. of torque. The engine is bolted to GM’s SuperMatic 4L75-E 4-speed automatic transmission system.
The awesome stance comes from the air adjustable suspension featuring 18-inch front and 20-inch rear Chevy polished wheels all equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The powerful braking performance comes from the Brembo, 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston at the back, with slotted rotors on all four corners.
