Discover the New 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt

At the Detroit auto show, there were two main stars, the original Steve McQueen’s Bullitt Mustang and his successor, the new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. However, the question is what actually represents this Mustang? Today, we will see the differences at this Bullitt themed Mustang, from design and technical point of view.

The New 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt

First the exterior: the body has a dark Highland green color with black and chrome accents. Up front, the black on black grille with a chrome accent give an aggressive look. At the rear, there are no many details except the black tail panel with only a Bullitt badge on it.

On the other hand, the exterior is well equipped, but also it has the Bullitt theme. This 2019 model has an all-digital 12-inch, LCD instrument cluster with beautifully designed and unique dashboard, and a dash plaque with a number. In addition, it is equipped with a black leather Recaro seats, steering wheel with a Bullitt logo and white six-speed cue-ball shifter.

Despite the original 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT Fastback, this Bullitt Mustang has disc brakes on all wheels, better handling, and more powerful engine. What, and how much exactly? Actually, it is equipped with a naturally aspirated Ford 302 cubic-inch, 5.0-liter small-block Coyote V8 engine. Unlike the GT version, this one is equipped with a GT350 intake and 87mm throttle body for increased airflow. The result is 475 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.

The high-performance 6-piston Brembo brakes have larger rotors, connected to a semi-active MagneRide suspension system, which optimizes driving performance. This Bullitt Mustang can achieve a top speed of 163 mph, which is 8 mph more than the Mustang GT.
