At the Detroit auto show, there were two main stars, the original Steve McQueen’s Bullitt Mustang and his successor, the new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. However, the question is what actually represents this Mustang? Today, we will see the differences at this Bullitt themed Mustang, from design and technical point of view.
First the exterior: the body has a dark Highland green color with black and chrome accents. Up front, the black on black grille with a chrome accent give an aggressive look. At the rear, there are no many details except the black tail panel with only a Bullitt badge on it.
In addition, it is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission system, retro inspired 19-inch five-spoke Torq-Thrust black wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The high-performance 6-piston Brembo brakes have larger rotors, connected to a semi-active MagneRide suspension system, which optimizes driving performance. This Bullitt Mustang can achieve a top speed of 163 mph, which is 8 mph more than the Mustang GT.
