When it comes to restomoding a classic muscle car, probably this is the most common combination. Classic body with incorporated modern interior, Driveline or body mods. But this time the Manns Restoration team from Festus, MO, have taken this 1972 Dodge Challenger to a completely new level.
At the first glance, this ’72 Challenger looks like an ordinary Mopar, but don’t be fooled, because underneath is completely Modern Mopar, it feels and performs like a new Dodge Challenger. That’s because the interior has been completely swapped from a 2005 Dodge Magnum, seats, dashboard and center console… everything.
This classic 1972 Dodge Challenger is powered by a modern Chryslers 345 cubic-inch, 5.7 liter small-block EZB Hemi V8 engine, rated at 340 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is attached by 4-speed 42RLE automatic transmission with overdrive. It also features a Magnum Force front suspension, Wilwood brakes with four vented rotors and American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels.
