This Olds are based on the General Motors A-body platform better known among Oldsmobile enthusiasts as the F-85 model, which was produced in almost every version: coupe, sedan, convertible and station wagon. Today we have the coolest of all, the Convertible Cutlass 442.
This bad boy Olds it’s all about comfort and luxury, and if you compare with other mid-size muscle cars you will notice that maybe it’s not the most powerful, but for sure is the most comfortable and it’s perfect for long distance cruising. Although this Cutlass Convertible has the largest 455 big-block under the hood.
Speaking of the engine, the 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible is powered by a General Motors 455 cubic-inch, 7.5 liter big-block Rocket V8 engine. The engine is factory rated at 365 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. Also, this Olds are equipped with three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic or four-speed manual transmission system. Nevertheless, this 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible stays as one of the most legendary muscle cars.
