At the Detroit auto show, beside the Bullitt Mustang, also was announced probably the most important modern Mustang that we are all waiting for, The 2019 Shelby GT500. It was announced in a short teaser, which only reveal that will have more than 700 horsepower.
However, the spy photos and the information’s that are going around the internet are telling more about this muscle car icon, which will be astonishing in every aspect. So let’s see, what should we expect from the upcoming GT500. From the teaser we saw that the front side will have changes, but also the rear side will by changed as well.
It will have a larger air intake grille along the front bumper, which will allow bigger airflow in the engine bay. On the other hand, the hot air will be extracted trough the massive carbon fiber air hood scoop. In addition, will also have air intake scoops right beside the front headlamps, we assume that these will be used for cooling the massive front brakes.
The biggest joy for the Ford enthusiasts at this 2019 Shelby GT500 will be the engine under the hood. The rumors say that will be powered by e Supercharger Ford 5.2-liter, 315 cubic-inch small-block all-aluminum Predator V8 engine, that should produce (we assume) around 750 horsepower and 720 lb. -ft. of torque. That will be enough to compete against the ZL1 1LE Camaro.
