This 2018 will be a year, where is set a new norm among muscle car engine builders, and it is called a “1000 Horsepower”. It means that the custom engine builders have already started to deliver their 1000 horsepower versions of already “enough powerful” modern muscle cars.
Until now, we have seen the Hennessey with his “The Exorcist”, TransAm Depot with a Trans Am 455 Super Duty, and now this 2018 Yenko/SC Stage II Camaro, which is built by Specialty Vehicle Engineering. They all have one in common; have at least 1000 ponies under the hood.
So let’s jump into the specs, and see what has this 2018 Yenko Camaro. Inside the engine bay, this Yenko Camaro is powered by a custom-built Supercharged GM’s 416 cubic-inch, 6.8-liter LT1 small-block V8, with CNC-ported LT4 cylinder heads. With a 2.9-liter supercharger on top, this engine produces 1000 horsepower and 875 lb.-ft. of torque.
In addition, it is equipped with five-spoke wheels with black-finish and sYc centercaps. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tires, with dimensions 295/30 ZR20 front, and 305/30 ZR20 rear. This Yenko is built on Camaro 1LE chassis and will be produced only 25 pieces of this muscle beast.
