It is very hard to find nice all original, or at least numbers matching 1970 Plymouth GTX. However today, we are going to take our time and enjoy this absolutely gorgeous Sublime Green 1970 Plymouth GTX. This Mopar is known as a “Gentleman’s Muscle Car” among muscle car enthusiasts, and for the first time saw daylight, back in 1967 as Belvedere GTX.
In this period, the Plymouth division started producing one of the most iconic and most recognizable muscle cars in American automotive history. The 1970 Plymouth GTX model year, belongs to the second generation of GTXs. A completely new look was given to this second generation, and powerful engines as well.
This particular vehicle has Chrysler’s 440 cubic-inch, 7.2-liter big-block RB Magnum V8 engine. With a 3x2bbl on top this engine is rated at 375 horsepower and 480 lb. -ft. of torque. Also, the transmission for this vehicle is a 4-speed manual, with a pistol grip shifter on top. There is one interesting fact associated with GTX. The 1967 440 model goes from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and the same year 426 HEMI model goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds. Enjoy the video below.
