1964 Ford Galaxie 500 427 with 600 Horsepower For Sale

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Front

This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 427 is probably the most hardcore classic muscle car that rolled out of the Ford assembly line. During the ’60s the Galaxie 427 model was all about the power, and at the 1/4 mile drag strip was in direct clash with the Dodge Polara 426 Hemi. Today’s example is completely restored with an elegant black body and chromed trim. At the front, because of the high-performance engine under the hood, there are high-flow air intakes instead of headlamps. These intakes feed the engine with fresh cold air and increase the engine’s power.

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Back

The interior of this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 has been completely restored with fresh vinyl upholstery in black and white color combination. Behind the three-spoke steering wheel, there are all the gauges that keep an eye on the engine. Also, this model is equipped with an am radio, and analog clock while at the center console we can notice an armrest, aluminum inserts, and a manual Hurst shifter with a white ball on top. Although this model is all about power it has a super comfortable interior.

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 427 FE Engine

Under the hood, this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 is powered by a Ford High-Rise FE 427 bored to 452 cubic inches big-block V8 engine equipped with a center oiler. The engine features forged pistons, solid roller cam, Edelbrock high-rise heads, single plane high-rise intake, 950 Holley double pumper, heat-wrapped long tube headers, aluminum water pump, and MSD ignition system. With this setup, this engine is capable of producing 600 horsepower.
