This Could Be The New Twin-Turbo 2018 Shelby Mustang GT500
The things are getting hot at the muscle car scene, first with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon which was revealed at the New York Auto Show. And now with the new 2018 Shelby Mustang GT500 which at the moment is under development, and we are expecting to be revealed at the beginning of the 2018. Well, let’s see what we know so far about this new Shelby GT500?
First of all, the exterior of the Shelby GT500 will have the redesigned look of the 2018 Mustang model, but with a more aggressive look. Probably will have lots of carbon fiber body parts, like the front splitter, side skirts and massive rear spoiler with a diffuser at the bottom. The interior also will be restyled, which will match to the overall concept of the Shelby GT500 spirit.
But the most dramatic changes will be made under the hood of this GT500. We see these days that the upcoming 2018 Ford Raptor will be equipped with the all new Twin-Turbo Coyote based Ford Racing 5.0 liter, 302 cubic-inch Ecoboost V8 engine. Rumors say that this engine probably also will be fitted in the new GT500, and will be able of producing 750 horsepower.
Also the Shelby GT500 will have wider tires for better traction, which make the GT500 track ready sports car, and with the powerful engine will be also a 1/4 mile monster. Which probably with a drag radials tires will run under 10 seconds. We are very excited about this new 2018 Shelby Mustang GT500, because will bring back the rivalry between the modern American muscle cars.
