1969 Mercury Cyclone 428 Cobra Jet

This 1969 Mercury Cyclone Cobra Jet, actually it is very rare. Under his Ram Air hood it is powered by a Ford’s 428 cubic-inch, 7.0-liter Cobra Jet big-block V8 engine. The 428 Cobra Jet is factory rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque.

Beside the powerful engine, this Cyclone also it is equipped with a 3-speed C6 automatic transmission, which is connected with a Detroit Locker 3:50:1 gear ratio rear-end. It has drum-brakes on all four corners and it is painted in beautiful Competition Orange color.

  1. My 68 Cyclone GT had a 390 V8 with large disc brakes up front, but drum brakes on the rear.

    • That is great. unfortunately this cyclone beside all those options, it has drum brakes on all four wheels. weird.
