When you think of a muscle car, probably you will think of a Mopar, Chevy or Ford. But wait, there are also other legendary American muscle cars, which were produced between earlier sixties and late seventies, better known as a golden muscle car era. One of those legendary muscle cars is this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Coupe, which in our opinion is one of the most refined high performance classic muscle cars.
First of all the Oldsmobile Cutlass belongs to the General Motors A-Body platform, or mid-size muscle car, which is larger and heavier than the pony muscle cars. That means, this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 beside his powerful engine has also lots of factory installed luxury features, like the power steering, power windows, power brakes, leather interior and A/C unit.
The engine in this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Coupe is the optional W-30 General Motors 455 cubic-inch, 7.5 liter big-block V8 engine. Factory rated at 370 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque, attached to a four-speed manual transmission system with Hurst shifter. While this particular Olds has an interesting background and you can find more in the video.
