Yesterday was revealed the new 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A, the long awaited version of the Challenger segment. This new Challenger T/A follows the traditional American muscle car philosophy, which they are made only for performance. This new Trans Am Challenger will be available in two versions, the 5.7 liter Hemi and the more powerful the SRT 392 6.4 liter Hemi version.
The exterior of this Challenger T/A has the legendary Satin Black hood, top and back, also the well-known side Satin Black stripes along the body. This model comes somewhere between the Scat Pak and the Hellcat model. As the Special Edition both the 5.7 and the 6.4 are identical to the exterior design. They are equipped with optional Mopar hood pins, functional Mopar cold air intake hood scoop and functional dual air catchers same as in the Hellcat. While the interior is equipped with a full SRT interior package.
This 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A as we have mentioned before will be powered by the less powerful Chrysler’s 345 cubic-inch, 5.7 liter HEMI small-block V8 engine, rated at 375 horsepower and 410 lb. -ft. of torque. And the more powerful Chrysler’s 392 cubic-inch, 6.4 liter small-block SRT HEMI V8 engine, factory rated at 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. Both versions will have Super Track Pack package, which includes performance suspension, steering and brakes. The 392 version as more exclusive will be equipped with high performance Brembo brakes, 20-inch Hellcat wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires.
