So far we have covered several custom built ’68 Mustangs, but this time we are making a tribute to this absolutely gorgeous 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 Fastback S-code. And immediately, when you look at this classic Mustang, you will realize that this is an amazing piece of art and machinery.
This generation Mustang was produced in three body styles, Coupe, Fastback and Convertible, but the most desirable and collectible is the Fastback version. Maybe that’s because Steve McQueen drove this Mustang in the legendary movie Bullitt. This particular has a gorgeous cherry red body color with chromed details. On the other side the interior it’s equipped with a super rare deluxe package.
This 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 S-code Fastback under the hood it is powered by a Ford’s 390 cubic-inch, 6.4 liter big-block FE V8 engine. This engine with a 4-bbl Holley C70F-F carburetor is factory rated at 325 horsepower and 427 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is bolted to a C6 3-speed automatic transmission which sends the power to the rear wheels. Also, it equipped with power steering, power disc brakes and 15-inch Mustang wheels wrapped with a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
