On the internet we are seeing more and more electric vehicles from a different manufactures, which have one purpose only, to reduce world pollution and the global warming. But on the other side they also could be fast, very fast! The best example is this 2017 Tesla S P100D Ludicrous+, which has the latest upgrade and is the fastest modern family sedan from 0 to 60 mph, (2.3 seconds).
On the other side, we have the most powerful muscle car ever, the 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT HEMI Hellcat with an internal combustion engine. Actually, it’s a Supercharged Chrysler’s 6.2 liter or 370 cubic-inch SRT HEMI Hellcat small-block V8 engine, rated at 707 horsepower and 650 lb. -ft. of torque.
The Tesla is using completely different technology, it is powered by a Dual AC induction Electric Motors with all-wheel-drive system. The electric juice is coming from a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery, and produce 259 horsepower up front, 503 horsepower at the rear wheels, or 680 horsepower combined. This Tesla is so much fast because of the torque, which has 277 lb.-ft. up front and 525 lb.-ft. on the rear wheels, or together they produce 791 lb.-ft. on all four wheels. Enjoy the race.
