1967 Shelby Mustang GT500E Fastback – “Beauty and The Beast”

The original Eleanor started as a yellow 1971 Ford Mustang Sportsroof, which was restyled as 1973 Mustang Eleanor and was used in the original “Gone in 60 Seconds” movie back in the 1974. Both movies, the old one from 1974 and the remake from 2000 are remarkable and both of them gain a popularity among muscle car enthusiasts.

But in the 2000 this custom built 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500E Fastback “The Eleanor” with Nicolas Cage behind the wheel, became a muscle car icon of the 2000’s. Today we have this short film, so called “Beauty and The Beast” which in fact it is a tribute to Eleanor, 100 octane Dupont Pepper Gray Ford Mustang, which remain as one of the greatest American muscle cars in the automotive history.
